Integrate with Campaigner
Updated over a week ago

You can integrate your account directly with Campaigner. An integration between and Campaigner does three things:

  1. Automatically sends contacts acquired in your account to Campaigner into a list of your choosing.

  2. Automatically suppresses existing contacts in your Campaigner account.

  3. Ability to set up custom filters to sync filters (ie. send leads from different domains to different lists or ESPs).

  4. Sends abandonment events to Campaigner for Reclaim.

What you'll need

1. Your API Key.

From your Campaigner dashboard, click the account icon in the top right. Then, click Manage Users from the drop-down and choose a user’s email address under User Name.

2. Click API Keys at the top, and copy the API Key. If you don’t have an API Key, you will need to click Add API Key to create one.

3. We also recommend you create the list name you’d like to sync your contacts in Campaigner with before finalizing the integration. You can do that by clicking Lists > Mailing Lists > New Mailing List.

How to set up the integration

1. Click on Integrations from the left navigation panel in the Retention app. Then, click Available Integrations at the top and choose the Campaigner icon.

2. Activate Grow and/or Reclaim. Paste your API Key and click Connect.

3. Set up your Contact Suppression.

Once you enable automatic suppression, will sync your regular, opt-in list from your ESP and add it to your suppression list. This prevents you from paying for contacts you already have. Once you’ve enabled this option, the sync will run daily at 6 p.m. EST.

Choose YES to automatically suppress contacts (recommended).

When you’re finished, click Next.

4. Set up contact sync by clicking YES and choose a list to sync them to from the drop-down menu.

If you check the box to enable custom sync options, five options will be displayed: filter by email domain, full or portion of a landing page URL, landing page domain, state*, and referrer URL.

*Please note that State data is only available on legacy plans that include address.

This feature allows you to filter your contacts before you send them to your ESP. For example, you can send all contacts who hit different landing pages to separate lists. You can also send all of your California leads to one ESP and Texas leads to another.

Email domain: This field auto-fills/populates with email domains (ex. Gmail, Yahoo Mail, AOL, etc.) from your collected contacts.

Full or portion of a landing page URL: If you’ve put the script on several pages or the entire site, this field allows you to pull out contacts who have only hit Landing Page A or Landing Page B. This option does not auto-populate, so you will have to add in the exact URL.

Landing page domain: If you added script to both and, for example, the landing page domain would be either or This field will auto-populate.

State: This filter allows you to pull out only contacts from one or more states. Please note that State data is only available on legacy plans that include address.

Referrer URL: This is the URL the contact comes to your site from.

When you’re finished, click Next.

5. Enable Reclaim sync by choosing Yes.

6. Enable the Campaigner integration. Once you enable the integration, your settings will apply and take effect.

Click Finish to complete the integration setup.

7. Once the integration is complete, you will redirected to the integration settings page. Here you will find the integration date, API details, and more. You can also Enable/Disable or Remove the integration from the top of this page.
